Following printed notice was distributed to nearby residents (I have a copy):

"Alutrint Limited, acting on behalf of the China National Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation (CMEC), wishes to advise that for the period March 02nd 2009 to April 30th 2009, CMEC will be conducting limited 24-hour works on site, including dewatering and dynamic compaction on the eastern end of the site of the Aluminium complex on the Union Industrial Estate."
