Brace for more smelter battles

Congratulations to all the anti-smelter groups and activists and their lawyers on a well deserved victory regarding Justice Mira Dean-Armorer's ruling against the Environmental Management Authority (EMA).

Celebrations are in order but only for a short while I am quite fearful for the judge and all those concerned as it is possible that they will be targets of harassment and intense scrutiny. It will be wise if they quickly return to reality because this is PNM country and the Government and the EMA are not going to take that lying down.

The anti-smelter lobby and all concerned citizens will have to brace for more difficult battles as the powers that be will turn up the heat. There is a long winding road ahead and the war is far from over. They say that goodness is stronger than evil, but evil is still very powerful and reckless and should never be underestimated.
