E-Waste Recycling

Piranaha International is an E-steward (the only one outside of North America) having qualified for the Basel Action Network's Pledge of Environmental Stewardship. This is in accordance with T&T's ratification status of the Basel Convention (www.ban.org). This means that they are ethically and legally bound to work with a restricted number of e-stewards who are similarly compliant with anti-dumping and recycling requirements.

E-stewardship is attained only after rigorous auditing by BAN authorities. E-stewardship is, therefore, not a marketing gimmick and not a simple subscription process. It is a position taken by waste handlers like ourselves who are concerned about the environment and implement processes to ensure that hazardous materials are not dumped and a resulting reduction in the need for virgin materials, in addition to absolute transparency.
